What is a HIPPA Waiver?

Today, we’re going to be talking about a HIPPA waiver. You might have heard this from your doctor.

This document allows your medical records to be given to somebody else. Otherwise, they’re not allowed to be given to that person. So you need this special document called a HIPPA waiver, which the doctors can then look at and say, fine, I can give this document to this trustee of the trust that you’ve created.

You can give it to your brother or to your sister and mostly to a family member. Whoever is necessary in order to get to the next step. So, do you need a HIPPA waiver? Most likely, if you’re in some hospitals will make you sign it right away. But you need a general one that can be given to any doctor at any time in order for your records to be passed from person to the next.
